Reflection: Business & Enterprise

Kumusta Everyone,

For the past few weeks we've been making our product for our Business & Enterprise. Business & Enterprise is an event that happened in our school. It's a day which we make stuffs in our groups and sell it. It's basically like buying, making, and selling our products. We sells our product inside the school only, however some school such as Hornby Primary School year 6 only, and more.

The people in my groups are Miguel, Shasdrach, MJ and myself. The products that were making are stress balls. It's a ball made out of flour and balloons, which is made for our costumers to squish when there angry or stress. It's only quite hard to rip the stress ball while squishing it, however, It can easily get rip, when pulling it. We sells our products for $1 to $3 dollars each, depends on the size. We sells some stress balls, and I think that we quite made a small profit. We'd use balloons, flour, and super glue in order for us to make it. We put several layers of balloons then glue it to keep it together.

Hur 4: Circuit Diagram

For the past few weeks, we've been doing Circuit Diagrams on our Hurumanu 3 and 4. Circuit Diagrams s

Aim: To find out the house plan and the circuit diagram.

Method: I pick the AL house plan and I did LE which has 10 bulbs.

Results: The result of my house plan, which is the area of my plan is 117.42 square meters. It has 800 Volts, 250 Resistance, and 20 Current.

Discussion: Ohm's law has 3 letters and everyone letter have a definition. Those letters are V I and R, V-Volts, I- Current and R- Resistances. Ohm's law helps you to determine the characteristics of the circuit.

Conclusion: I really the project because it has Maths and circuit diagrams. I would like to try this again however, I would like to do this on a different level. I would like to do the LE house plan and LE bulbs, which need to put 12 bulbs.

This is the picture of my work

ESOL: ESOL Highlights

 Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you the highlights for the last 3 Terms of ESOL class. The lesson that I like doing is about researching Thailand and Magpies. I enjoyed doing this lesson because It's so interesting to learn more about Thailand. There are so many things you can do in Thailand and It's cheap too. I also enjoyed working in groups in ESOL because It makes the work easier.

I'm also proud of my work, which is about Thailand because I only know a little bit about Thailand, and on that lesson, I learned more about Thailand. My goal for next term ESOL is to try to finish my work in time.

PE: How to play Badminton

For the past few weeks, we've been playing badminton in PE. Which I will tell you about how to play badminton. Badminton is a sport that is similar to volleyball, however, you only need 1 or 2 people on each team to play. Badminton have different rules as volleball and badminton have racket, and shuttlecock as the ball.

Badminton Rules:

You can't double hit the shuttlecock.

You have to hit the shuttlecock over the net.

You have to serve dianagonaly.

In order for you to score you have to hit the shuttlecock to the ground on the opposite side, or they double hit, or they hit the shuttlecock to the out line, or they hit the shuttlecock to the ground in their side.

You can play single or double in badminton.

when playing singles the is much more farther than doubles and when playing doubles the side outer line is much more father than singles.

Static Electricity

Today I'm going to tell you about Static Electricity.

What are the 3 particles that make up everything? Which ones have positive and negative charge? There are Protons, Protons and Neutrons.

Objects want to be “electrically neutral”. What does this mean? There's no left over charge.

When you rub an two insulators you can get a static shock, so what is an insulator and a conductor? It's when both positive and negative, causes them to not get in touch by each other.

What is an example of static electricity? Static electricity is an electric charge that can make you're hair float, or causes a sparkle or crakling.

Book Review: Holes Book

Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you what happened in the book. The title of the book is called Holes written by Louis Sachar. The book was about people, who got sent to Camp Green Lake, dig a hole every day under a hot sun. My favourite character is Armpit because when he raised his arms up, the others fell down like there was a shockwave. I like the book because It's quite interesting when reading it. When reading the holes book, I thought that the camp only has tents and a house-made from cement with an air conditioner for the Warden. Also, the Thumb God/Mountain is also very similar to the book and from the movie. I like the movie because It's quite similar to the book, however, something in the book didn't put in the movie. I would recommend the book Holes to over 10 years old.

Term 2: Reflection

 Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to share my reflection for Term 2. A lot of things happen the last term and I also did a term 1 reflection. My best highlight for the last term is Ars Kete, Hurumanu 6, and Hurumanu 3. I pick this highlight because I enjoy it, especially with my friends. The other subjects challenge me a little bit, it makes me want to give up and keep going, even though It's hard. In the last term, I learn something in Hurumanu 3 which is maths, I learn what is the 3 digit of pi. My term 3 goals are to finish my work in time and add more words to my sentences.

Diffusion of Potassium Permanganate

Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you what we'd on our hurumanu 3 class. We'd diffusing the potassium permanganate for today's experiment.

The equipment that we'd used are Tweezers, Petri Dish, and KMnO4. Potassium Permanganate is also the same formula as KMnO4.Our aim for this experiment is for the temperature to speed up or slow down the diffusion. We'd put cold water and hot water on the petri dish and put the KMnO4 anywhere on the petri dish. The hot water experiment results diffuse the KMnO4 faster and spread out the KMnO4 than the cold water. The cold water diffuses slightly slower than hot water and doesn't really spread out the colours around.

Rising Water

 Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you this blog post. This blog post is about an experiment that we did call Rising Water. The materials needed are Petri Dish, Candle, Lighter or matches, Cup, and Water. This experiment aims to see what happened to the water level when the candle is covered. In my prediction, the water level is a little bit higher and a little bit longer for the candle to die. For the result of our experiment, I saw the water level rise and the cup is stuck on the water. When the air is hot in other words high pressure, the water level is probably higher than cold air. When It has a low pressure, which is the opposite of the high pressure, it'll have less water.

The rules are to go to the finish line and when your teams go outside the line you need to go back from the start.

Themed Bells

 Greetings Everyone,

Today I'm going to talk about our school Themed bells. It basically means our school bell songs. Each time the bell rings. Also, every month is a different theme and different song every. This weeks song is about All She Wrote and It's also a Pop Genre. In my opinion, the songs are all about people singing in the car and grinding around New Zealand.

Six60's members are Matiu Walters, Chris Mac, Ji Fraser, Marlon Gerbes, Eli Paewai, Hoani Matenga. The six60 formed a band in Dunedin and they created their band name as their street number, 660 Castle Street. Also, In my opinion, I like our Themed bells, as It changed the main theme every month and changed the song every week.

ESOL: Recount Writing

 Greetings Everyone,

As I got into my ESOL class, my ESOL teacher began to read a book. she hasn't said that she's going to read a book, without a warning. Plus, she hasn't told us the title of the book or about it. As she continued reading the book, the whole class began listening to her as she read the book.

The story was about a boy named Noah, sharing his story about his family. I think he's the main character

ESOL

 Greeting Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you something that I liked doing in ESOL. Fun things that we do in ESOL is playing quizzes. You might think quizzes are not fun but they are fun here. We get to work in groups when we do quizzes or we can work individually. Blogging is also really fun because we get to show the people what we have learnt. It's also really exciting to do blogging because sometimes we only have 20 minutes or less.

Term 1 Athletics Blog Post

 Greeting Everyone,

Today I'm going to share with you some tips on how to do athletics events and some result of events on my athletics.

The athletics that we've done are Sprints, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus, Shot Put and Relay. Now I will be giving you tips on some of the athletics events. For discus try to put the plate on the top of your finger, when you're going to throw the discus, try throwing it flat so it can go further. For Shot put try putting the shot put on your palm and push it towards you not throwing it. For relay try jogging slowly when your teammate behind you are close to you. My favourite event of the athletics day is sprint and relay because I want to know how I improve.

Here's my score for my athletics activities.

High jump 1.25 Metre

Long Jump 3.72 Metre

I always bring my PE gear when there activities like sport or practise. I also participate in every activity that has a sport or practises.
